Where LED lighting fits into sign construction

In recent years we use light diodes (LED - Light Emitting Diodes) for illuminated sign lighting.
The main idea of operating on LED signs is very simple: in terms of construction, consisting of a single contact of positive and negative charges.
On LED signs, in one area there are many electrons with a negative charge and many other "holes" as they are called in electronics, i.e. absence of electrons. On LED signs imagine about a magnet with positive and negative pole, but without the magnetic properties to such an extent. In this way we achieve that the sign’s electric current flows only in one direction and get cut in the opposite.
LEDs, are constructed so as to emit a specific wavelength when electrical current flows through them! Commonly when current flows from the anode to the cathode, the construction permits during this process to continuously emit a light in a wavelength.
Thus , the LED signs depending on their construction and wavelength to emit , we have different colors (different wavelengths), white, red, green, blue.
LED signs often preferred because it their high brightness, long life and maximum performance with low consumption. If you think that electronic crosses and pharmacy signs are structures with LED, then we can easily understand that we see LED Signs more and more every day.

Helping people read the sign clearly

More light is not automatically a better result. The lettering should remain easy to read without the lighting obscuring its shape or changing the intended appearance of the logo. The frontage in daylight, reflections on the glazing and nearby lamps all help explain what the sign needs to do. Photographs taken at different times, alongside approximate dimensions, make the initial discussion more practical.

Questions about LED sign lighting

Does LED always mean a programmable message display?

No. LEDs can illuminate fixed letters or a sign face. An electronic message display is a separate application.

What is the difference between face lighting and backlighting?

Face lighting illuminates the front of the letter. Backlighting creates a halo on the surface behind it. The logo and frontage help determine the appropriate effect.

Do all LED signs use the same amount of power?

No. Dimensions, the number of lighting elements, the power supply and operating time affect consumption. It should be discussed for the proposed construction.

Can the sign follow my existing brand identity?

The logo file provides a starting point. Colours, face materials and lighting are considered together when discussing the appearance you want.
